Walker Texas Ranger vs. Gov. Good Hair

Wolfe Blitzer's intervivew with Mike Huckabee last night went something like this:

Blitzer: The governor of Texas has endorsed Sen. McCain. How do you think you will do there?

Huckabee: Well, Chuck Norris is a Texan.

Blitzer (in a very serious voice): So am I hearing you say that Chuck Norris can take the governor of Texas?

I was laughing way too hard to hear Huckabee's response but he had a very serious look on his face as he gave it.

I wonder if anyone has told him that Norris endorsed Perry when he ran for reelection in 2006.

If Norris karate chopped Perry on his hair, do you think it would break Norris' hand?

I'm really missing Molly right now.

Soundtrack to this post: Wipe Out by the Safaries.

yeah, i miss me some molly too. she had some beautifully scathing stuff about "guvner good hair." she was a complete and unique voice.

i doubt that chuck's hand would break on perry's hair. more likely the hair would be turned into sharp shards like tossing a spark plug through a plate glass door.

I miss Molly Ivins's unique voice, too.

I know almost nothing about the governor of Texas, but I really like Chuck Norris. He's a good writer and swell fellow, but an execrable actor.

Huckabee... I don't think so.

Yes, wipe out is the perfect soundtrack.

I saw lots of Huckabee signs on my roadie this weekend.

You're probably right, MB. We'll all stand waaaayyy back if they ever get near each other.

There is not much to know about Gov. Good Hair, heart. Well, except that I remember when he was an idealistic Democrat and lost a lot of his money when he had it put in trust before he started running for public office so that he would not have any conflicts of interest. His becoming a Republican pawn has been a big disappointment to me. He is so much a yes man to people like Tom Craddock that it makes me sick. As for Chuck Norris, I'd have to say that he is somewhat lacking in judgemenet since he is campaigning for Huck.

Bsr, I'd like to wipe 'em all out and start over.

Do you suppose Blitzer meant to be funny? I bet he didn't. Thats usually when funny is really funny!
