Three Reasons I'm Glad I'm Not a Republican

Number 1: The walking, talking middle aged Ken doll. I'm not even sure that Barbie wants to vote for him, especially since he seems to be spending her wardrobe money on his campaign.

Number 2: The bass player. Everyone knows that bass players can't count higher than 4 and since it is main job of the base player is to keep the drummer from counting any higher than 4, he always seems to be listening to what is going on behind him instead of paying attention to what is happening in front of him. This particular bass player has his own take on what is behind him and it is more than a little scary.

Number 3: Little old man who wants to keep our current war going, possibly because the war in which he was invloved had such a dismal outcome that he doesn't want to see this one end without a decisive victory. Since that does not seem possible, he'll just keep it going and going and going and.....

There are a many, many more reasons that I am not as Republican but I really don't want this to become a political blog so I'll stop now.

Soundtrack for this post: Stephen Stills' For What Its Worth.

This made me laugh.

Damn! I never considered that. You're probably right. Sort of like Shrub having to finish the war his Daddy started.

Scary shit.

A very dismal lot for sure.

It seems Barbie pulled the plug when he tried to sell off her Malibu mansion and even Skipper's skateboard for campaign money.

me too, Kona

pool, we will survive somehow...if we can just hold on til November. Of course the period between November and January could be scary

glad to give you a chuckle, hele

I didn't mean to scare you, bse. It is purely conjecture on my part, makes as much sense as any other reason he could possibly have. Of course, no reason for war makes sense to me.

Yeah, heart, I guess she became a Big Bad Barbie Doll

Thanks, tammyv. I try not to get to worked up about politics, but it can be fun sometimes.

Funny. I do tend to vote republican, but some things are still funny :)

allow me to make a defense of bass players. the good ones, the klaus voorman, the jack cassidy, the jaco pastorious, or (church voice) willie dixons are the foundations of good music. the double bass (me da's axe) is a noble and fine instrument. i've heard the huck play and the dude stinks. he's predictable, boring, and simplistic. much like his thinking.

the most worrisome thing about guys like huckabee is that so many of their positions require aggressive ignorance. to deny the scientific fact of evolution takes energy.

huckabee's not a bass player. he wouldn't last two nights in any disreputable roadhouse. he wouldn't be able to hold a spot at the eagle's club in any town over 2,000. dude sucks out loud. real players would drive him from the stage in tears with the measure of their scorn.

Of course, you are right, mb, and I apologize to any real bass players who I may have offended. A hack is a hack is as hack no matter what instrument he attempts to play.
