A Well Lived Life

I just got news that Utah Phillips crossed over in his sleep last night. As far as I know, it was a peaceful passage. Thanks, Chris Chandler for letting us know.

Rest in peace, Utah. (Or live it up wherever you are.) A peaceful passing. What a lovely thought. Hope you're doing well, S.

Go to sleep you weary hobo
Let the towns drift slowly by
Can't you hear the steel rail humming
That's a hobo's lullaby

Do not think about tomorrow
Let tomorrow come and go
Tonight you're in a nice warm boxcar
Safe from all the wind and snow

goodbye old buddy.

He has laid down the weapons of privilege for the last time.

R.I.P., Mr. Phillips. You made a difference in the best way, peacefully, through song.
