Hooter Update

I called today and was told that the little owl survived the weekend and has been taken home by one of the rehab specialist who thinks he will eventually be OK.

Hi, little pea. I think so,too. I won't be able to get any more updates but I am sure it will be OK.

What a wonderful story - and I'm hoping this one ends well too. How cool that you have so many owls around you - we have some, but have only heard them, never managed to see them. We used to have a whip o will too, but haven't heard that one for years now - I loved hearing it in the late evenings. It made me feel like I was so far out in the country (which is a feeling I like, even though I'm not).

Glad to hear the little critter is doing well.

btw - I'm guessing the title on this post results in quite a few unexpected Google search hits.

I have an owl who sits in a big oak tree in the back yard, and calls.....
so glad to read the owl has a good home.
Wonderful ending.....

You are great people for doing this. I can't believe I missed the owl post which had been up since Sunday. I guess I've had a pretty stressful week and busy with stuff.

Thanks for all the kind words. I am sure any of you would have done the same thing. We couldn't just let him sit there and croak or get eaten by a predator. I learned a lot in the process and it has been a wonderful experience.
